i have read it is normal to miss periods after surgery.i had a c-section 3 months ago.i had 1 menstrual cycle after than no more.anybody else experience this? thanksBody after c-section?
Well, surgery, yeah, but also giving birth will stop your periods, particularly if you are breastfeeding the baby. It's called "lactational amenorrhea", and is nature's way of trying not to let Mom get pregnant while baby is still relying on her for everything.
It's not 100% effective as a contraceptive, so use a backup.
it is normal to miss it for two months a sfar as going three months i would see a doctor this is being answered by a father of two c section babys as well as a emt good luck
I have had 2 c-sections with my first born I didnt get a period for the first 6 months with my second I got my period about 2 months after having her.
It should be normal considering the menstrual cycle does chnage after the birth of a child...i had a csection myself but havent experienced this...try birth control and it should help regulate it ive been taking birth control for 5 or 6 years now and it helps tremendously even my periods are shortened length lasting only 4 days:)
It took my body 6mon. to get back to it's original cycles. Just give time and if it dont get better call your OB doctor.

Body after c-section?
Blood test question?
How accurate are the results when testing blood for pregnancyBlood test question?
Very accurate. It counts the number of molecules of HCG.
100%
Very accurate. They are better then urine but just to be sure i would get both a urine and blood test to be sure.
The results are very highly accurate in what they are testing for, which is the pregnancy hormone.
The only other thing I know of that can produce that hormone is an ovarian cyst.
False negatives are more common than false positives, but if you have a positive result odds are high you are pregnant.
Bloating: PMS or pregnancy?
I'm a little late for my period (not quite sure how many days as not charting or anything), and my stomach is huge! I've never been this bloated before. I've also been a little nauseous, had acne, stuffy nose, very tired, vivid dreams, twinges in abdomen etc. Did other women experience massive bloating early on in pregnancy? Many thanks!Bloating: PMS or pregnancy?
The best way to determine if you're pregnant or not is by taking a pregnancy test. With that being said, the symptoms you describe can also be attributed to your period or PMS. I find that if I am stressed out, not eating well or excercising my period symptoms are more extreme.
with only few days overdue the stomach wud not be huge it is only after 4-5 months that give rise to enlarged abdoman.
Simply carry out a preg test by urine exam at home by do it urself kit . It is very simple. The blaoting may be due to gases.
You are probably pregnant...
Take a test...
If YOU are saying it could be pregnancy... then it probably is...
Go to this website..
Good Luck!!
Hope if you are then you are happy...
If not... ADOPTION NOT ABORTION!!

Bleeding while on birth control?
i'm havein a bit of a problem. i'm bleading down there, lightly, it hurts and its not my period. i've been on sesonal ( birth control where you get a period after three months) i've been talking it for about 9 to 12 weeks. it has nothing to do with sex, since i'm a vergin, and its not anything like a hyman either. can anyone tell me why i'm bleeding, i still have another month and a half before i get my period.Bleeding while on birth control?
That is completely normal with Seasonale. I know from experience. It can take up to a year for your body to regulate to this pill. Most people it only takes 3 months. Don't worry about it unless the bleeding becomes very heavy or lasts for more than 7 days.
I myself was in your situation...firstly you have to be sure that you did not lift weighs or something like that in the last days...if it's not the case, go to see a doctor...I had a small wound and this was the cause of my bleeding...take care!
This sounds like it might be related to the Seasonale itself. I know that when I saw an ad for the product on tv one time the company even said that spotting, bleeding was a common side effect of this medication. I've heard from a lot of women that took it that had a ton of problems taking the Seasonale.
To be on the safe side though I would check with the dr to make sure that there isn't an infection or something else going on there.
Bleeding in between periods?
i had my period 2 weeks ago...last week i started lightly bleeding for a few days and then it went away. then today i just started lightly bleeding again.
i'm a virgin so it's not pregnancy or anything.
is this normal?Bleeding in between periods?
I've had stuff like that before. It's quite normal, especially if you haven't been getting periods for very long or are on any hormone pills or injections. Don't worry!
many things can cause your periods to wack out. '
some being diet, and stress. it will probably go back to normal in a bit. i know u dont wanna hear this, but if it doesnt then you gotta go to the gyno.
Bleeding breast....please help!?
is there anybody here who knows somebody with the same experience? before i went out of the country two years ago my moms breasts is bleeding like when you are breastfeeding a baby that the milk automatically comes out of your breast. my mom is in her early 50's and her breast is bleeding occationally for a couple of years. she's afraid to go to the doctor and we don't know what's wrong with her. and sometimes she feels pain on her breast. i told her before to see the doctor and now it's all the same and i'm away from home. i keep on telling her to see the doctor. what do you think it is? and what's the casue? i want to know please help?Bleeding breast....please help!?
It probably is breast cancer, esp if there are lumps or breast indentations. A clinical diagnosis and various diagnostic methods needs to be done ASAP. The key here is timing. If you catch it early, if it is cancer, prognosis is better than not doing anything at all. See your doctor NOW! Good luck...
CANCER!!! GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She needs to see the doc ASAP. This sounds serious but without being a doc no one can say for sure what it is. Was her last mammogram ok? If her mammogram was ok then hopefully it is nothing serious but if her last mammogram was not ok or she didn't get one done then it may be more serious.
look it up on google, that's what i always do before i go to the doctors, but she should really go to the doctors!
the longer she waits the worse it will ge, see a doctor now, it might be cancer but they can save her life, my mother waited too long and died a horrid death, stop hiding from reality.
I've never known anyone to have bleeding from their breast but yes, your mom needs to see a dr about this to try and figure out what is going on to rule out different things.
Bleeding after sex?
i just had sex like 2 hours ago and its not the time i had sex with this guy but this time when i went to pee i was bleeding but not a period kind of bleeding please helpBleeding after sex?
i think it's normal, it happen to me also for about my 10 first sex. after that it's not happen anymore.
Are you close to your period? Was the sex rough? There are many reasons for this. You may have a small tear. If you are concerned, see a gyn for treatment. Don't wait until the symptoms disappear. Call and make an appointment to rule out any damage.
Damn was he wearing protection, sounds kinda fishy. Maybe you need go to the doc to make sure your okay. That's if your having pain later.
is ok
R u having umprotected/rough sex? Is ur bf Long Dong Silver? R u using enough lubrication? R u over the age of 45?
Bleeding 5 days after sex?
5 days ago (Valentines Day) I lost my virginity and I didn't bleed so much.
Ever since yesterday It started stinging a bit in my area and I had to use the restroom at the same time and it burned and I bled a bit. It also happend all this morning like 5 times. It's freaking me out and im pretty sure he doesn't have anything so I dont think I caught something from him. Maybe he ripped it? He is a bit over average so that's what I think happend.Bleeding 5 days after sex?
go see you OB/GYNO... you should have done that anyway as soon as possible after becoming sexually active. they can give you an RX for the pill and make sure your ok and healthy down there.
It's most likley nothing. but you are better safe than sorry.
and it's all private and confidential.
U must visit to a doctor...
Go to the doctor asap!
Could be a number of things, infection or splitting. Did he wear a condom? You could be allergic to the latex, but i dont think that would make you bleed that much. Some bleeding is normal for your first time, but not 5 days after the fact.
You should have gone to the doctor after the second day!
Go... now! It could lead to bigger problems if you dont!
u need to c a doctor mostly a women doctor.
Are you a teen..did you take protection and now what are you waiting for, go see a doctor..
Blatter infection and the doctors?
i think i have a blatter infection and i need to go to the doctors but i wanted to know if anyone whos had a blatter infection went to the doctors and what kind of examination they gaveBlatter infection and the doctors?
You just have to pee in a cup.
dont think about what they are going to do just think about what could happen if you dont go to the doctor
pee in a cup and voila you have one or you don't if you don't prob a pap test.....
They probably will just ask you to urinate into a cup in the bathroom and send it out to a lab for tests and then give you an antibiotic if you have an infection.
They will make you pee in a cup. They may press on your abdomen and ask you if it hurts. They will ask you questions about your symtoms. If you have a bladder infection, they will give you antibiotics.
all they have you do is pee in a bottle and they test it and tell you if you have one, they will ask about any other symptoms and maybe feel around you bladder and check your kidneys, but that's it..no big deal, trust me I've had lots of them
Bit puzzled?
My period normally last for 5 days but lately it's like 2 days noticable bleeding and 2/3 pink /red discharge i'm not yet 40 and think it's too soon to be the menopause any one else had anything like this going to the doc next week just testing the water to see if it's normal.Bit puzzled?
This could be the onset of early menopause,I would not worry about this but look on it as a blessing, who wants a long and heavy period anyway,if you are worried contact the nurse at your GP who can do a simple test to check hormone levels and they will also be able to tell you if you are in early stages of the menopause which you could be at 40
Get a hormone check done, I went through the menopause in my 40's so it could be that, but it could just as easily be caused by stress.
Can be normal more worrying if the period lasts longer or they are irregular. Sometimes if you haven't ovulated(produced an egg in a cycle the period can be lighter. Hormone tests aren't terribly helpful if you are still having your peiods because you must still have sufficuent oestrogen kicking around and since the blood tests check for FSH(follicle stimulating hormone) which rises when no oestrogen is around likely to be normal.
think you need your hormone levels checked, mind you in saying that it all depends on how long you have been experiencing these problems - if its say just a couple of cycles it might just be a wee upset in your hormone levels etc but always wise to get it checked out, good luck.
My mother actually went through menopause in her 40's - I would see your doctor and talk about it.
BirthControl Pills?
I'm being put on Lo-estrin 24.
Have you taking this one before? did you like it.?
I was on Yasimne for 5 years. I have been off of it since November. I will be starting the new one on the sunday after my next monthly. I just want to know if you liked lo-estrin and/or what kind of side effects it had on you..
thanksBirthControl Pills?
I loved being on loestrin. I've had problems with birth control making me gain weight, and I was finally able to lose weight on this one. I had no noticable side effects, so I think it's great. Hope this helps!
how old are you?I wanna get on it but i'm only 13.How do you do it.if you can will you email me at mommys_lil_goody2shoes@yahoo.c... or DanniDevil011 at aim or Dannie011 at myspace
Birth Control?
Ive been on birth control for a while and recently had to go to my provider to get more, the orginal birth control i was on was Trycyclon lo and they gave me trycyclon which is more hormones .....does this mean I have to wait a whole month to have sex, like I did when I first got on Birth Control?Birth Control?
i don't think you have to but to be sure call tour doctor or the pharmacist. Or you can make your man wear a condom.
no waiting, have sex right away, call me
not unless you miss a day, then you have to wait a couple weeks, or use a condom. well...you should use one anyway, just incase you're worried!
You were on the same birth control pill just a low dose now this one is a little high dose but that doesn't mean that you will have to wait.It will work just fine from day one.No need to worry at all just trust your doctor.
no
Birth Control?
I just started the Loestrin 24 birth control pill the day of my period. Usually my period is 5-7 days long, but now I'm on my 9th day and it doesn't seem to be letting up any. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it because of the pill?Birth Control?
I just started a different kind of birth control as you, but I am in the same boat. Its totally normal. I'm on day 12 of my period, and the doctor said it would last up to 28 days, at which point your period will be starting again. If you feel like you need to talk to someone about it, i would talk to your doctor. They're very helpful with it. However, it is normal to have hormonal changes when starting birth control. Your body is just not used to the changes in the hormone levels yet, and the extensive length of time you're on your period is just your bodies way of trying to adjust. I wish you the best of luck, and my e-mail is not hidden if you have anymore questions. I wont hesitate to help.
I took Seasonale and bled for the 30 days that I took it. I switched brands and the bleeding stopped immediately. If it doesn't stop talk to you doctor.
Birth Control?
Hello All, Can someone please tell me if there is a contracetive out there without all the crazy side effects???Birth Control?
Barrier methods (condom/diaphragm/foam/gel) have fewer side effects than hormonal BC (pill, depo shot, nuva-ring), but they are generally less effective that the hormonal methods.
There is always a trade-off with BC, and the only 100% sure method is abstinence.
Wish I had better news. Maybe explore non-intercourse forms of pleasure?
No,nothing really. They just give you antibiotics and then,****
Ortho tri cyclin low is pretty good. The only side effect I notice is that sometimes I experience minor break through bleeding before my period. But that's it.
well most woman dont ever experience any crazy side effect. mostly gaining or lossing weight. im on depo and i love it! plus you dont have to worry about forgeting you daily pills or ugly patches.
Kariva (pill) NO side affects whatsoever.
I went on Kariva because Depo was horrible. Depo for four years and had horrendous side affects (weight gain, mood swings, spotting at odd times). Plus every five years you need a bone density check since it screws up your bone health.
Birth Control?
Is there any type of birth control that doesn't make you fat and doesn't screw with your hormones?Birth Control?
Condoms, womens condoms, diapram, spemicide
All pills and patches and shots will mess with the hormones
Yes, condoms.
Hey, Better you avoid intercourse...
There are so many different kinds of pills out there now. Just go to your gyno and say that you want to feel the least amount of side effects as possible. Your doctor is experienced with these kinds of things, and will be able to suggest a good pill for you.
Also remember it will take a lot of trial and error, as every body will react differently. I tried about two different kinds of pills before I settled on one I liked.
Condoms are effective, but you should definitley be double-protected. If anything, to keep your mind at ease.
nope, they all alter something.
Birth Control?
Can anyone tell me about the uva ring ??, Or the birth control ring ,, i am starting it next week ?Birth Control?
i love the nuva ring. because the release of hormones is constant and steady there are less side effects. you just put it in on the first day of your cycle, and remove it 3 weeks later. leave it out for 7 days, then start over with a new one. (if you go to the website you can download a program to remind you when to take it out and put a new one in.) it stays in pretty good, but if something happens and it comes out, you can just rinse it off and stick it back in. (don't let it stay out more than 3 hours) you will need a back up method of birth control the first 7 days (you will probably be bleeding anyway), but after that you are protected.
One of my girlfriends uses it and she says its great. It's supposed to insert just like a tampon and you leave it there, I think she said a week or so before your period and then you take it out, have your period and shove a new one back in.
Well this ring that you speak of is a little smaller than the ring around a diaphragm or a female condom. It is a clear plastic like the ring around the female condom besides it being smaller it contains hormones. It is also inserted the same way as a diaphragm or a female condom. Nonetheless it is easier to insert because of its size.
It is inserted into the area in front of the cervix and beyond the vaginal canal.
Birth control?
what all is involved? do you gain weight? etc...Birth control?
Non-hormonal versions (i.e., barrier methods) don't introduce chemicals into the body that might cause side effects. However, you can still have an allergic reaction to some types of materials (latex condoms, for example.
Hormonal methods are as individual as the person using them. Some women have bad experiences, others don't. The nice thing about most methods is that if you don't like what's going on, it's easy enough to change. The pill has literally dozens of variants. Other methods, such as the ring have very low doses because the hormones are being introduced directly into the area of the body where it's needed.
The best thing you can do is talk to you doctor about your options and possible risks. He or she can fully discuss all the side effects and what might need to happen if you have a bad reaction.
There are many different forms of birth control available. My best advice is to make an appointment with your dr or at a clinic and they can discuss the options you have, and what will work best for you.
Depends on what you're thinking of taking. You have lots of choices from the pill to the ring. There are also surgical procedures that can be done too. But really it just depends on what you are considering. Make sure to ask your doctor about side effects and results of the certain birth control.
Birth control?
only for people who know a lot about birth control methods, i am on the patch now and it works good but i have high blood perssure cuz of it, i want to change methods, i am thinking about swithing to copper T IUD, progestasert IUD, intrauterine system aka IUS, or the essure permanent birth control system, i am only 21 or i would have the suygery done but i have to be 23, me and my husbad dotn want anymore children we have 2, can i get one of these done at my age and which is the best one to do?Birth control?
I have 5 kids and do not want any more. I went to my doctor for the Essure procedure but he talked me out of it. He suggested the Mirena IUD..........and so far I have been very pleased with it. All you need to have the IUD placed is to have at least one child. I would not get anything permanent at your age. I had 3 kids by the time I was 20 and thought I was done. When I turned 30 I wanted more. I would highly recommend the Mirena!!
The patch can cause heart attack and strokes i won't recommend that IUD is really good i one an had No problems with it the pills made me sick You can wear a IUD as long as you want it doesn't hurt Planned parent hood has them or you can just go to you own doctor
You can have an IUD put in, I would use Merina, I did not like it, but a lot of people do. You can def. do that at your age, I had one put in and removed last year and I am almost 23. What is the essure birth control method. I know a lot about bc but I have never heard of it.
Birth control: do you make an appointment with the doctor or nurse?
when discussing and asking for a perscription for bc pills or shotsBirth control: do you make an appointment with the doctor or nurse?
You make an appt. with the doctor.
to ur gynec.
You have to contact a doctor because in order to have those drugs you will be required to have a vaginal exam.
Most general practitioners will refer you to a gynecologist for a thorough gynecological exam before prescribing birth control pills. This exam will help determine which type of birth control is best for you, your body and your lifestyle.
You need to make an appt. with your Ob/Gyn doctor. He will ask you all kinds of question and from there he will know what will be the right pills are for you!
Birth Control/Period???
I am on birth control,,,Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. There are 4 stages,,,light blue, medium blue, dark blue, then green for when you are on your period. I am on the green ones right now,,,and have not started my period this month however I spotted a whole bunch last week while on the dark blue ones. Is that considered my period??? Can you sometimes start your period before the actual green pills? I'm so confused,,,never happened before! Please explain what is going on with my body!!!Birth Control/Period???
You should get a period during the green pills, as these are the inactive ones. What you probably experienced was breakthrough bleeding, which is a common side effect of the pill, Also, if you have been on the pill for 3 months or less, you will experience period irregularities until your body gets used to the hormones. If 3 months go by and your cycles don't become regular, you will need to go back to your doctor as it's possible a hormonal imbalance has occurred, and you will need to change pills or the dosage.
i would suggest going to your doc, explain, and change your pill, god how confusing! i take one pill a day every day thats it!
no blue
green
purple
orange
pink crap! 1 pill a day!
Your body usually needs a pill pack or two before getting your period on the correct week. When I started my pill pack I was a little off.
Birth control/ period question PLZZZZZZZ Answer?
i have a a big group of events coming up and im supposed to get my period the day before all of them... im on birth controll .... is there any way i can either make my period stop earlier so i can enjoy at least the trip im going on....cuz i can deal w/ it for the other events... or is it ok to just start the next pack of pills and miss my period .... or can i just skip the sugar pills and take the first week of the next pack and then take the sugar pills from the old pack....
will starting the next pack mess up my cycle????Birth control/ period question PLZZZZZZZ Answer?
You just skip the sugar pills and immediately start a new pack of pills. Throw the old pack out (with only the sugar pills left) and finish up the new pack per normal.
I don't think it works that way. You can't make your period disappear. You should stay on track with your birth control pills, even though the last week is the placebo. Do you wear tampons or pads? If you wear pads, I would suggest trying tampons. For me, it makes my period much more bearable because I'm not constantly worrying if it leaked or whatnot, and you can move much easier.
I had the same problem. I didn't want to get my period on my honeymoon, so I talked to my doc. He told me to just keep taking the active pills. I felt a little nauseous for a day, but that was it. It was wonderful.
It's perfectly fine to skip the placebos on this pack and go on to the next one. I do that all the time for endometriosis. If you do it too often it will mess up your cycle, but just once is fine. If you want a way to absolutely stop bleeding, talk to your doctor, although they typically only stop the bleeding if you have a good reason too (ie cyst, fibroids, etc), but she may still be able/willing to give you something.
Birth Control...?
Is there any oral contraceptive that is safe for women who smoke?Birth Control...?
Non-hormonal barrier methods: The diaphragm, cervical cap, Lea's Shield, condoms (male or female), combined with spermicides.
Periodic abstinence (fertility awareness) combined with spermicides.
Sterilization.
Copper-only IUD (though this is NOT recommended for women who have not had at least one full-term pregnancy. Additionally, it comes with a LONG list of adverse side effects).
If you smoke then none of the birthcontrol will be safe to take.. I was on the pill for 2 1/2 years an smoked at the time and was okay. My dr told me that as long as im younger then 35 and smoke that it wouldnt be as bad that people that are 35 and smoke have a higher risk of a health problem!!!
Dont do IUDs eather cause i had an IUD go through my uterus and had to have an emergency surgery to have it removed!!!!
No.
The only safe ones for you are the barrier methods: condoms, diaphrams, etc.
Birth control that won't lower sex drive?
I am getting remarried in 3 months, and I have not been on any sort of birth control since my divorce 2 years ago. The pill was NOT my friend. I took Alesse at the time, and it made me feel cranky, I gained weight, I had terrible headaches, and I had a greatly reduced sex drive. Are there pills today that are better in terms of side-effects? Thanks for any advice!Birth control that won't lower sex drive?
I actually was on the pill and i got similar symptoms so i got switched to the patch but then i heard all the health risks and i got switched again to the nuva ring. The nuva ring actually made me have more of a sex drive and it hasn't givin me any of the symptoms of the pill .
You might want to try a monophasic pill, but different people react differently to the same pills, so you might have to try several different kinds. I don't get any negative side-effects from Norimin.
Abstinence.
Try Yaz
You might be interested in trying Natural Family Planning (NFP). Unlike what some people think, it is not the old school "rhythm method" of counting days. When a couple is instructed well and is consistent using this approach, it is as effective as birth control pills. Modern approaches to NFP involve charting temperature, cervical mucus, and other normal signals of fertility. You might try a google search for the Couple to Couple League, Billings Ovulation Method, or Creighton Model Fertility Care System. These are all folks who can help you find someone in your area trained to instruct couples in NFP. The benefit of NFP is that the information gleaned from charting can be used to space births or increase your chance of becoming pregnant when you are ready.
Birth control questions help please?
i forgot to take a pill yesterday but i took it in the morning had sex yesterday no condon is there a possibilty of pregnancy ?Birth control questions help please?
Possability...douche and wait a week for sex then take a ept test.
It's really unlikely if you're on the combined pill, but if you're on the mini pill then maybe you should see a doctor. Also if the (combined) pill you forgot was one of the first 7 of the pack then apparently (according to company magazine!) you're more likely to get pregnant than say if you missed a pill mid cycle or at the end. Anyway, i'd say unlikely, it's worse if you miss two, hope things go ok for you! X
If you have been consistently taking your pill, missing one day shouldn't be a big deal.
Birth Control Question?
I am on loestrin 24 fe, I usually take my pill at 8:00 am every morning, but today I accidentially overslept, and didn't take it till 8:30, am I still protected?Birth Control Question?
You are completely still protected.
yes a half hour won't make any difference at all.
Yes, you're still protected. You always have a small window of time.
Birth control question?
How many days after I start the placebo pills should I get my period? Last month I got it the DAY I started the placebos, but I haven't yet.Birth control question?
It will be different for you than it would be for anyone else. When I was on the pill, I started my period on the fourth or fifth day of the sugar pills. You should wait a few more days and see what happens. Did you miss any pills this month? If you dont get a period by the middle of the first week of your new pack, I would call a Dr and see if there is a problem.
It probably varies by person...mine usually starts midway through the placebo pills.
Birth control question.?
can you take birth control even if your not on your period i started taking the pill but i stopped now i want to take it again and my period passed about a week and a half or so im not sure if its ok.Birth control question.?
I was in the same position and my gynecologist told me its OK it will just change my menstrual cycle.
you should have started taking the pill again on the sunday after your period started...you'll have to wait till next time...
It will be okay, but it will throw off your timing of your period. Just have napkins handy around the time. Your periods should even out after the 2nd or 3rd month.
just as long as you have had your first period, and you are not taking any active pills over your 7 days, there shouldn't be a problem.
yes u can...but then take it for complete 21 days
Yeah, you can do that. But don't have sex for a week so it has time to settle in. It confuses your period is all.
so far as I know you must not stop taking you birth control like you have, you will have to wait until your period begins before you take your next pill.
You have made yourself unprotected against pregnancy so if you are having intercourse, please use another kind of protection. At present you are most likely at your most critical moment to get pregnant.
To guard against pregnancy you must take your pill regularly, if you don't want a period you can continue taking your pill to stop your period, say because you have worked out you will be on your period while on holiday..
Have you done this to trap someone into getting you pregnant, by saying your on the pill when you actually aren't?
Birth control question- I take the pill regularly every day, but between the times of 5-8 in the morning so,..
is this three hour time span still considered on time every day or does it need to be taken exactly on the hour?Birth control question- I take the pill regularly every day, but between the times of 5-8 in the morning so,..
You're supposed to take it relatively around the same time each day. Try carrying a watch or setting the alarm on your cellphone or something to remind yourself.
I've heard that birth control pill's such as Alesse have a higher rate of failing if you don't take them within an hour or 2 everyday.
No, it doesn't have to be taken on the hour. You're fine.
This is fine.
no but u should
No it does not need to be the same time everyday.
It is recomended for you to take it the same time everyday so you will always remember to take it. The doctor told me that.
You only need to worry that you don't vary by 12hrs or more. I wouldn't worry about a 3hr variance!
Yes, you can take it in the a.m. at the hours you asked, but as far as jumping around the hours suggested no, it must be taken on the hour in order for it to be effective. If you are a minute or two late (and I've had this happen before) the effectiveness of the pill is not compromised.
im not 100% sure but i think between 5 and 8 is fine just use the pull out method to reasure yourself!
I didn't take mine at the exact same time....I was within a half hour everyday.....never missed a pill......and still got pregnant. Some people would be fine while others aren't. I wouldn't take the chance though if I were you.
Birth Control Pills?
What will happen if i start the next pack of pills when it's time for me to start my placebo pills?Birth Control Pills?
You won't have a period this month, although you may have some spotting/breakthrough bleeding.
I don't think that's good. I know you'll start PMSing very irregularly, but I don't know about pregnancy because I only use them for hormanal equalizing thing.
Birth control pills: when should i get my period?
I feel completely uninformed! I'm taking birth control just because my derm recommended it for my acne, so I didn't bother asking questions and such. I'm starting my first pack, and i'm doing "the sunday start," and just started this last sunday. when should i expect my period to come then? at the end of the active pills? or at the end of the placebo pills? i would assume at the end of the active pills, but doesn't that mess with the cycle of my period then? wouldn't it be less than the normal 28 days in between?Birth control pills: when should i get my period?
you should get it where the different colored pills start
also called the spacer pills
but not everyone gets it exactly at that time
but u should expect to get it right around those last week pills
During the placebo pills you should have your period. The insert that comes with the pills should explain a lot.
at the end of the active pills and make
sure you start the pills again when you
are supposed to you will get into a
regular routine in 2 or 3 months
Birth control pills srry?
srry again, but what are some side affects that you have went through if u take or took birth control
thanksBirth control pills srry?
I was on micronor, no side effects, just no periods which I was very happy with!
i had none at all....i used ortro tricyclin
Umm, I don't take the pill. I am currently on the Deppo shot. So far, I really haven't had that many side effects. When I first got on the shot, I was a bit hormonal until my body adjusted, and there is the whole not having my period thing, but that happens with everyone who gets on the shot.
My best advice to you is to consult your doctors. Most family planning clinics have a list of choices of different birth control methods and their side effects. They can help you choose which method you think would be the best for you. Something to keep in mind, though, is that they effect different people differently.
i was on ortho-cyclen 28 and the side effects were crazy, bleeding all month long and being in pain as well. then the doctor took me off that and put me on zovia 1/35 and they make me feel dizzy and kinda sick to my stomach.
BIRTH CONTROL PILLS and crying like a baby?
I started taking my birth control pills this last sunday and i'm been crying for no reason. I was watching engaged and underage and when they got married, I was bawling like a little baby. Is this a normal side effect of the pill or am I just really emotional for some odd reason? i'm freaking out because I've never been like this before, even when I'm on my period.
I'm taking ortho tri-cyclen lo.BIRTH CONTROL PILLS and crying like a baby?
Yes, it's a normal side effect. It might last couple weeks, until your body adjusts to the hormones.
I was crying at Maxwell House Coffee commercials when I was on the pill- people thought I was crazy.
If the moodiness doesn't go away after 1-3 months, ask your doctor to switch you to a monophasic pill.
Pills are a form of hormone, and your body is adjusting to the new levels of them in your system. Don't worry you should level out in a couple weeks.
when i started taking birth control pills i got really over-emotional as well. it was the worst during the first couple weeks, and then after i was done with the first pack i leveled out and now i'm back to my normal self.
Yeah it is a normal side effect. It suck but for the first few month (al lest of me) you will cry like a baby but then you will be back to normal. Good luck.
I used to laugh and cry for no reason when I first started on the pill but after a while it settled down. If you don't feel like it is getting any better in another month or so I would consult your doctor to make sure that the pill is not disagreeing with you.
its just the hormones and being more emotional
Birth Control Pill Q?
After popping my pill out, I placed it on my tongue (I even made sure it was there by sticking my tongue out and looking at a mirror). Then I took a big gulp of water. But I feel like when I did I couldn't feel the pill in my mouth but I still swallowed the water anyway. Could the pill have gone anywhere else besides down my throat? Am I just being paranoid?Birth Control Pill Q?
Like where? If the pill isn't in your mouth, then no, it didn't go anywhere else. I doubt it teleported itself anywhere.
Yes you're being paranoid. Next time just take in less water.. a lot less...then you'll be sure it went down and you can then take your big gulps.
I'm a guy, but this is a pill question, not a B.C pill question.
Good Luck.
Assuming you didn't drop it into the water of off your tongue I don't see where. You would undoubtedly have been aware if you had inhaled it.
I used to take bc pills & I felt the same way sometimes! Dont worry if u r sure u put it in ur mouth & gulp down water w/ it. Then u took it. It may be that the pill is really little maybe thats y we dont feel it. But ur not alone. Ive thought that many of times.
b/c pills are so tiny, i wasn't aware if i swallowed it half the time! i'm sure it got to where it needed to go. maybe try and stick it in some food next time, so you know its definitely going down for sure.
Birth Control Pill ???
So Ive been on the pill for awhile and I'm on my sugar pill week, and I noticed I am a day ahead of my pills. I dont know if I accidentally took two pills one night or lost one, or what. BIZZARE. Is that really going to make a difference, since I am so close to having my period anyways? Should I use back up?Birth Control Pill ???
Read the directions that came with it.
Mine says to use back up for 7 days.
But you're on your sugar pill week, and you haven't started your period? That's odd. If you think you messed up during the sugar pills, then just skip one day without any pills so you'll be back on schedule.
And take your pills in the morning so you aren't drunk. It sounds like you're a little out of it at night when you're taking the pill, if you don't even know if you lost one or took two.
uh, tehcnically they say you should always use back up. Pill's not totally effective, my aunt actually got preggers 3 times while on the pill. So i'd say yes for the backup.
relax, and wait until your period arrives, then get back on track, use extra contraception in the meantime just in case!
Birth Control Pill & GERD?
I am on the birth control pill but also have some reflux problems. Recently I've had a little pain swallowing and am afraid that worse case scenario I have a stricture (narrowing of esophagus). Could this narrowing have any effect on how my birth control pill is being absorbed?Birth Control Pill & GERD?
I would not think so.
I have acid refux and take meds for it and other things... there have been no problems. you need to get some acid reflux meds. they have them over the counter as well as prescriptions meds for this. especially if you feel that your esophagus is narrowing.
Birth Control- My insurance doesnt want to cover my current BC perscription, its a new, and rediculous policy.
Where can I get birth control without having to pay a large amount of money for it?Birth Control- My insurance doesnt want to cover my current BC perscription, its a new, and rediculous policy.
Planned Parenthood will give it at a low cost or free depending on your situation. You can also try a generic version. The generic version of ortho-cyclen called sprintec costs $28 a month. That isn't much more than a $10 or $15 co-pay.
ask your doc for a generic, it will be much cheaper.
um, in order to know it's the right thing, you need to get it from a pharmacy, however your insurance may offer it mail order for cheaper. If your doctor has you on the pill for health reasons, your insurance may cover it.
Birth Control Methods?
Which of these 3 bc methods has the least risk?
The Pill
The Patch
or The Shot
Thanks!Birth Control Methods?
They are all hormone methods so they all carry the same type of risks. The shot tends to cause more nasty side effects than the other two but the actual risk is the same for all three as they are homone methods of birth control.
the most effective is abstinence, the others depends on if you use them properly and regularly.
Mom of B & D
I would think the shot because you can't forget to use it or misuse it.
I would guess that the shot is better at prevention of pregnancy. I am not sure which has the worst side effects though.
Birth Control Failure!?!?
I have been on YAZ for 6 months.
Got married in October. Everything has been fine.
Last two months my cycle was 9 days long starting on day 28.
This month I still haven't gotten it and it's day 32.
I will take a pregnancy test tomorrow at Dr's office. If I last that long
Am I pregnant?Birth Control Failure!?!?
If you are taking your pills as instructed it is highly unlikely that you are pregnant. Sounds to me like your cycle is somehow screwed up and you need a different pill.
First of all, there's something wrong if your period lasts longer than 7 days. Have that checked out when you go to see the doctor. Good luck.
Birth control and weight?
is there any birth control that does not make you gain weight? i have gained at least 15 lbs and really has deminished my self esteem no matter how much i dont eat or work out i dont lose weight and it makes me really depressed any suggestions...and dont say dont take the pill its not really an optionBirth control and weight?
Try ortho evra. There are weight limits, but not the nasty weight gain that is associated with the shot and other methods. I was hoping that it would make my booty bigger but alas...no.
Good luck!
you should try the Nuva - Ring. you shouldn't gain weight from using that. and it's a hell of alot easier because you dont have to remember to keep taking it. It goes inside your vagina and stays there for 3 weeks and on the fourth week , you take it out - that would be the time you get your period. it works good and it's easy.
Birth control and weight gain?
I gained about 15 lbs from my birth control and I was wondering if I went off birth control, or maybe changed the type of birth control, will I lose the weight I initially gained, or is it with me for good?Birth control and weight gain?
there's no magic way to lose weight, so i'm afraid you'll have to diet & exercise (safely!) to get rid of the weight you've gained. i would definitely try switching to another type of birth control or even quit using it if you want to to avoid gaining more weight.
from personal experience, the few lbs i ained on the pill came off almost in the first 1-2 months of not takin it. but then again that was only like 5lbs. u may have to work off the rest.
What kind of birth control are you on?
I gained a LOT on depo, as well as many other bad side effects.
I am on Kariva now and have had no weight gain or mood swings.

Birth control and periods?
I have been taking Yaz birth control since July. Before this my periods were 5-7 days with heavy to light bleeding. Now on the pill I have my periods 2 or 3 days and very light bleeding. It usually starts the day before or day of starting a new pack. I have noticed over time my bleeding is getting lighter and lighter. Last night I started my period. There was no blood on the pad in the morning and using tampons today there was only a little blood on the top of the tampon. When I wipe I can't even see blood unless I place the toliet paper in my vaginia. It has never been this light before. I took a pregnancy test just to find some relief and it was negative.
I'm wondering- is this normal or should call my gyno? Anyone have personal experience with this or expertise in the medical field?Birth control and periods?
That's normal for me. The hormones actually mean that you don't produce as much lining in your uterus, since you body doesn't think that it needs to prepare for pregnancy - so lighter periods.
I don't know much about the Yaz BC pill, but I do know you don't really have anything to be alarmed about. Some birth controls have different effects on different people. And different amount of hormones are going to send different messages to your body. If you're super concerned, call your doctor to ease your mind. Stress could be playing a factor in this as well. I don't think you have much to worry about, but I'd call your doctor just incase, it can't hurt. (Biology major here)
i dont think your pregnant but you should ask a doctor
Birth Control and Antibiotics?
What are the chances of conceiving while taking antibiotics and on birth control ???Birth Control and Antibiotics?
Your chance of becoming pregnant is either 0% or 100%. For an individual person, there is no other answer. You either won't become pregnant (0%) or you will become pregnant (100%). Antibiotics only increase the probability of being one of the 100% people instead of one of the 0%'ers. Good luck. Use protection.
When taking antibiotics and using the pill you should use a back up plan. I am not sure what the odds are but that is what I have always been told.
Depending on where in your cycle you are, the chances increase exponentially. In other words, if you're a day or two from your period, you're less likely to get pregnant while taking the pill than if you're in mid-cycle.
The best thing to do is to NEVER chance it; always use backup birth control in the event that you're prescribed antibiotics, and for 7 full days after the last dose.
Pretty good. Why risk it? My ex-boss got pregnant with her son while she was taking birth control pills and taking antibiotics at the same time.
Antibiotics cancel out the birth control so be careful.
Birth control -- moody??
I have been on birth conrtol for 6 years now, since I was 12. I get terrible cramps that constrict me to my bathroom for 3 days. I have been on a low estrogen pill until now. My doctor just switched me to Necon which is apparently a higher dose of estrogen. I am already pretty moody, the tiniest things bother me. When I switch, am I going to get moodier??? I definitely do not want this, I'm moody enough! Also, are there any other concerns with switching to a higher dose?? Thanks.Birth control -- moody??
I am on Necon also but it is not a higher dose of estrogen than other pills. It has more progestin in it than the really low dose pills. I had horrible mood swings on Seasonale and switched to this pill . I am finally myself again. Higher estrogen pills are the ones to worry about. So there is no concern for switching.
Low-dose pills have 30–35 mcg estrogen plus progestin. Necon has 35mcg of estrogen. So this is still a low dose pill.
I don't think many people will be familiar with the specific effects of this particular type of B.C. You should read up on the side effects on the website for that pill. I do know that B.C pills have so many different side effects. If it does make you more moody, tell your doc. I'm sure he won't have a problem switching you to something different.
Birth contol..?
do you have to get a pelvic exam.?
i'm fourteen.Birth contol..?
Yes I think you do! Everyone I know had to have one to get Birth Control!
if u are having sex, then you should have a pelvic exam. cuz u r going to need yearly papsmears. so get used to it.
No, but depending on what state you live in you may need parents consent. Plus at your age they are probebly paying for it.
you only need a pelvic exam after you have had sex or if you have some type of infection, so if you're having sex then yes, you should get an exam. It's not that bad though, really. If you havn't had sex yet the doc will probably just give you the prescription and you'll have your first pelvic exam one year from then. \
Also to let you know, you do need a parent'd permission to get birth control at 14.... at least in canada and the united states you do. This is true until you are 16 years old.
no im not really sure but i did not
yep! they need to make sure you're helathy before they give you the b.c. after that, you need to get one every year, just like a regular physical.
Biodegradable tampons?
I am new to using tampons and was wondering what brands or products are biodegradable?
I do know of the seasponge, however at my work there is no private sink for me to wash it out.
ThanksBiodegradable tampons?
The tampon fibers themselves will break down under normal conditions within the sewage or septic systems. It's the applicators the present problems. If you're interested in them, OB is applicator free, and then there are those that have cardboard applicators, which like all paper products will biodegrade in water. Otherwise, the plastic applicators must go in the trash.
BTW, my personal opinion of the sea sponge is in a word: UNHYGIENIC. I can't imagine re-using a tampon. That's just too far over the top for me.
All brands are biodegradable as far as I know. That′s why you can flush them down the toilet.
ob or any cardboard applicator tampons will biodegrade. But, I prefer to use a plastic applicator tampon. They are more comfortable for me to insert, and I usually end up crushing the #$%# cardboard one. I have used ob, but they just weren't my thing.
seventh generation is a good brand- they use organic cotton that doesnt have chlorine in it like other brands. also they have no applicator so it reduces waste.
Bikini Hair Removal Products, which are the best?
I am going on Spring Break soon, and am wondering what are the best ways to get rid of bikini hair without using my razor. I am hoping for no bumps and minimal redness. I don't want to wax, but a product that works, so I won't waste my money. Thanks!!Bikini Hair Removal Products, which are the best?
Well since it coming up soon I would recommend waxing is the best to not have bumps, but since you dont wan to do that try Nair, It works good but only last a week. For long term I would reccomend lazer hair removal.
Personally - if you can bear it, I would wax. I use Surgi-Wax and love it.
However - you could go for a depilatory. My sister uses the Nair Bikini Cream and really likes it. She hasn't had a bikini bump yet... but be sure to do a skin patch test first. Some people are sensitive to the chemicals in the cream.
Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
If you wish to achieve total satisfaction and permanent hair removal results, it is recommended that you consider bikini laser hair removal.
Although other forms of hair removal--such as electrolysis, depilatory creams or waxing--can be used, each has its own limitations as to effectiveness and ease of use. In three to six treatments, bikini laser hair removal may accomplish a permanent reduction in the majority of hair. The procedure is very rapid and well tolerated. Even the hair that remains is many times reduced in diameter, making them significantly less of a cosmetic issue while also reducing the irritation of the hair follicle. Overall, this procedure is commonly performed with high patient satisfaction.

Bigger breasts?
what is bust serum?is it safe 4 a 15yr old?Bigger breasts?
There are no topical applications that will enlarge your breasts. Save your money.
You are only 15, give mother nature a chance.
Breasts are comprised of a lot of fatty tissue and the girls your age who are "well endowed" are more prone to retain fat. Give it another 10 years and they will be complaining about their thighs and hips while you will be looking good.
By the time you reach 18-19 your breasts will be fully developed. Until then, be patient and try to appreciate yourself.
iam one of those people who could honestly care less about how big thay ar. it doesnt matter to me and i doubt it ever will. i still dont understand why girls obsess over it. i mean sure your size is fine but why try to change something that you have but giting fat pragnet or pills or play with tham more

Bigger *****?
im breats arent thats small.. but i would prefer them to big bigger. any suggestions on how to make them bigger?Bigger *****?
It is understandable that women and especially teenagers in the USA are very self-conscious about their breasts and many worry about their breast size. But the fact is, there is not much you can do to change your breast size - for smaller or bigger. Look to your mom, sisters, aunts - their breast size will usually give you an indication of your final breasts size. Birth control pills containing estrogen sometimes make one's breasts larger as a side effect. This does not happen to everyone taking the pill though. You can take a natural breast enhancement pill, but just like diets pills, these can be very dangerous. Theres so many people out that wish they had the same size breasts as u, so be happy for what you got.
The only 2 ways to make them bigger is to get surgury on them or gain weight.
Try fenugreek or saw palmetto supplements.
breast implants
I REFER FISH OIL EXTRACT(VITAMINS)
TAKE 1 EVERY DAY FOR 2 WEEKS (I WENT UP 3 BRA SIZES)
Big Blue Veins?
My period is due tomorrow and for the past week or so my breasts are covered in these big blue veins and so are the top of my legs that connect to my abdomen. I have never noticed this before, until this cycle is this a normal part of pms...i have never heard of veins popping out.Big Blue Veins?
if your worried go ask your doctor hun
sorry doesnt know anythin about science but i do know that veins are blue
there called spider veins, you can't get rid of them but hide them with tanning there are medical treatments but they dont work for some, best thing is to tan
You have been a very naughty girl during your PMS and these are signs of your force-sensitive body withering as you descend into the dark side. I suggest either letting this disfigurement fuel your rage to use in the Dark Side, or repenting yourself and following the teachings of Master Yoda. Personally I think purple boobies are hot, so I suggest kicking a puppy or enslaving a race of aliens or something.
if you are sexually active this could be the first sign of pregnancy. In early pregnancy our bodies start creating more blood and sending it to our breast and uterus to help our bodies prepare for a baby. This makes the veins in those areas stand out and be more noticable.especially if you are fair skinned.
thry do cuz the blood is rushing through them my bf has the same thing in his arms legs where ever else
Best machine?
which one is the best machine at gym when you want to get rid of the fat on your love handles as in the area above your hips and loose stomach.Any suggestion for first timmer at gym.Best machine?
I agree with the first answer, cross trainers are great. You're going to have to do lots of cardio to lose the extra flab around your middle, but you also need to do crunches to tone the muscles. You also need to do strength training. The more muscle you have in your body, the more calories you burn.
I've been using a cross trainer for the past year. It provides a total body/cardio workout. I use it 5 days a week, 30 minutes a day. I've lost a ton of weight on this machine....
Talk to the exercise therapist at the gym. Spot reducing is not possible, but variations on situps may strengthen the abdominal muscles and help you to look more trim.

I'm not at all sure why you chose Womens' Health for your holiday question, but I reckon you'd hang your shoes off your ears if you thought you'd get more response.
However, if you don't have a lot of money, why not holiday in the UK. There are tons of places that are equally beautiful, and you won't have to pay for the airfare.
Being short and growing up?
I used to take alot of stick in school for being too short.I was always the shortest till a new girl came.We then took it in turns to see who was the shortest.I in the end was the shortest when we left school.I know as a fact because i have seen her regularly and she laughs at me for still being short. I know that school time was the worst. When i started work in a bank i still had problems with work due to my height.I was asked to lift heavy files and reach high books on shelves. Even when i had my work photo done i had to stand on a box so the woman could take my picture.Even she thought it was funny.I did however take it up with work the problems i was encountering and after causing rows at work things were sorted out. Due to my school life even now i dont let people take the mickey out of me .I seemed to have got abit tougher since then.Being short and growing up?
you could have surgery to become taller.read these.
OK; and your question is....?
I know it hurts to be short, i am 23 years old 4'10 and hionestly am not bothered anymore. if you really feel someone is hurting you tell them in no uncertain terms that u do not like it. they will be careful not to do it again. and one more thing be the best at whatever you do. People will not dare laugh at you. and remember to retain that sense of humour. laugh at urself once in a while. it makes u feel better
Before my periods my nipples are tender but after my periods they are itchy, why is that?
Before my periods my nipples are tender but after my periods they are itchy, why is that?
they are tender before because of the flood of certain hormones in your system, they are itchy after because of the subsidance of those same hormones.
Well before is due to hormone changes but I have no idea why they are itchy after sorry! I am sure someone with a bit more knowledge will come along soon!!
If I'd asked my partner that question, he'd have said to me 'because they need sucking more' see what I 've gotta put up with?
i dont know but it turns me on
The itchiness is most likely from dry skin and chaffing. If your breast are getting swollen before your period from your hormone fluctuations, your bra will be tighter. If it is tighter more friction will happen with every movement you make. This will chafe the skin and cause the itch to appear. Try a hydrocortisone cream 2-3 times a day to see if that helps. I personally love the Aveeno one for any itch I have.
I did a quick google search and I found this link, sounds like what I just told you: http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/ate/womenshea...
besides all that , it's solid proof that even god has a sense of humour.
That`s natural, baby, unless you of course, you have a light skin decease. Does it go away, after a little while? If so no worries. Otherwise I would see my doctor if I were you. Good luck!
Been on birth control for about 6 month now. Why have I had my period for almost 2 months straight?
Been on birth control for about 6 month now. Why have I had my period for almost 2 months straight?
There can be many reasons but first Id say go to your OB.My girlfriend is a toothpick and has no bodyfat on her what so ever so she cant have a period. She cant get pregnant. Her body can not produce eggs cuz its working too hard to keep her going. She wont eat nothing but veggies and fruit.I have sycts on my overies that cause mine to on for weeks. And sometimes I skip.DR DR DR!!!!Your birth control pills can be causing you more problems than you think. But ask all the questions you have to,to find out why.
it happened to me when i started with the pills, but it was because i started them on the wrong day. i had my period for weeks...maybe you did the same thing, but maybe is better that you stop taking them, and see if it stops. if not, you may have to go to the doctor.
Sounds like your pill isn't the right one - call your Gyno for a new prescription - some women can't take a mini until they have been on a regular dosage for at least 2 years. Good Luck!
You should try a different pill. That is definately not normal. Talk to your doctor about it right away.
Have you missed any? Is there a chance you are pregnant? Sometimes when you are on birth control it can mess your menstrual cycle all up. Just call and ask your doctor to be on the safe side.
Becoming a egg doner?
I WAS JUST WONDERING WHAT DOES THAT CONSIST OF?..DO THEY REMOVE YOUR DNA FROM YOU AND GIVE IT TO ANOTHER WOMAN..OR WILL YOU HAVE TO CARRY THE BABY INSIDE YOU??..JUST CURIOUS..IM NOT THINK OF DOING IT OR ANYTHINGBecoming a egg doner?
They put a needle in through your lower abdomen and suck the eggs out from the ovaries. Usually they will give you medication for a few weeks before so that they can harvest more than one egg at a time.
They will remove your eggs and freeze them for the next lady. The eggs already have your DNA so the baby will look like you and the person husband.Alot of women do it.They say it's really good money and they look at it as just helping one who wants to have kids that have a problem ovulating.
Beast pains ?????
I have really bad breast pains sometimes i need to know how to manage the pain because sometimes it is so bad i cry and i really feel bad when it happensBeast pains ?????
Can be cyclical -- tied to your period
Can be serious -- unlikely, but worth checking with DR
Can be heavy, dense tissue -- unfortunately there is little they can do for that besides reduction -- try to wear a good supportive bra -- get enough rest and proper nutrition....
Go see your Dr with a list of where and when it hurts -- that is the first step. Be specific -- what time of the month -- chart it on a calendar. Where exactly -- same place all the time or different?
What you ate, did etc...... this will help pinpoint the causes right away.
In the mean time -- try an OTC pain reliever and maybe a heating pad.
Well, this won't be much of a surprising reccomendation, but what should happen is you going to see a doctor. A full breast exam can reveal a lot, and if you're having pains there, it is absolutely not normal. It may be something that is easily managable and not serious, but it needs to be checked.
WHEN YOU HAVE HORMONAL INBALANCES AND /OR IRREGULAR PERIODS YOU WILL SUFFER WITH ACHY BREAST ..BUT YOU NEED A MAMMOGRAM OF THE BREAST TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOTHING MORE SERIOUS!
Talk to your doctor about this. Any body pain that puts you in tears needs to be addressed by your physician. It could be a sign of something serious.
Bad physical, no softball?
I'm a little worried about getting my physical tomarrow, you see i just finished my period yesterday, but when i have my period i tend to have a lot of cravings and i begin to eat a lottttttt.(& i've been eating pretty badly this week too) What if i go to the doctor tomarrow and somethings wrong with my blood pressure or cholesterol or something. I know i deff probably put on some weight, but i'm not worried because i usually lose all that after my period. What if i fail the physical? I have to pass to play softball. helppppppp thankzBad physical, no softball?
you can't fail a physical because you ate some junk food. don't worry as long as you are generally healthy and not seriously sick you will be completely okay for the physical. don't stress out about it. stress will make your blood pressure higher.
you won't fail the physical unless something is really wrong. All a physical does is put liability off of the school if you drop dead.
Why would you think there is something so wrong with you? So you eat. I doubt seriously there is anything wrong with you that a little will power wouldn't solve. Stop eating so much, don't eat junk/fast food and exercise.
You sound like a teen. I'm sure your cholesterol is fine.
I play softball for my high school and I eat like crazy. You'll be fine. Do something you enjoy before your physical--that will lower your blood pressure.
Bad period pain but no period?
since yesterday afternoon i have had what feels like bad period pain in my lower abdomen back and sides, it is dull and constant. it even woke me last night when i dreamt i was in labour ( i remember the pains from when i was in labour a few years ago) but with labour it came in waves this is constant and it hurts.... i have not had period pain for years.... so i have no idea what it could be. any ideas?Bad period pain but no period?
as this pain has lasted longer than 48 hours see your GP. if you cannot see your GP.if you live in Scotland phone nhs24. if you live in England phone nhs direct. for advice.
It could be a fart on its way out.
sometimes people get cramps 1 or 2 weeks before their period.
Could you be pregnant?
(I.B.L) irritable bowel syndrome could be a passable reason I get it and it feels sometimes like bad period pain and often keep up all night
but a GP is the best way to go
as it may be something more serous and irritable bowl Sydrome can be eased by medication.

Awkard vaginal discharge?
I have brown discharge coming from my Vagina. A lot comes out when I wipe after peeing. This usually happens when I skipped a period. Which I did, for February. Is this normal? Now, I have a little bit of blood accompanaying it....
Help?Awkard vaginal discharge?
the discharge is usually after a period or in your case a skip period, is your body cleansing itself, its getting rid of the old stuff. sometimes you notice you might have a lighter period or heavier one. nothing to really worry about, its just getting rid of the old stuff.
yes it is likely to be from the skipped period. brown discharge is old blood. its the blood from when u didnt have a period. now its coming out in what is probably a very light period for this month, because u do see red blood (new blood).
Average size for a 14 yr old girl?
I am about 5'3", about size 6 dress <however the tailor said i was a bit too big around the hips and chest for a 6, but could use it cause of my waist>, and i am a 34D...I was just wondering, is that average, above average? Any chance I could shrink or grow bra wise?Average size for a 14 yr old girl?
i would say thats normal - the 34 bit, u seem quite big being a D but i have friends that r in the same situation - being a B i would rather be bigger!
i wish i was a size 6 lol!
Basically ,u sounded big but u cant change it.Its all inherited grow yoUr parents .so ask ur parents that when they were ur age ,are they as big as u ????If yes ,it will be because of the meiosis process .So ,reducing bra size doesn't help but it causes breast cancer if you were wearing tight bra
just be happy with who you are
Augmentation?
I want to get a boob job, but im afraid of the risks, does anyone have any advise as far as me getting bigger boobs without surgery?Augmentation?
I don't have breast augmentation, but it seems that so many who have had it, have complications if even long term such as muscle aches and even immune system problems such as lupus. Even though the fda (food and drug administration) has ok'd the use of silicone implants in the US again, I would steer clear of them! It makes perfect sense why all of those women have had such health problems since having this foreign object in essense, that they believe are from the implants, and the saline implants have a silicone casing around it.
How about those prostetics or those silicone surface 'implants' that one can put into their bra when wearing an evening gown or whatnot. If you do decide (which hopefully you won't :) that you would like to talk to a dr about it, please make sure that the dr is a board certified plastic surgeon since it seems that any dr can declare him or herself a 'cosmetic surgeon' or such.
I dont think its possible. I had augmentation and I love it. The key is to find a good doctor and dont go too big.
At what age girls start to develop legs, underarms, and pubic hairs?
At what age girls start to develop legs, underarms, and pubic hairs?
about 12.If you want an exact answer,it depends on the genes your parents passes to you.
It's different for everyone. Look at yourself.. Obviously your old enough to post this question so why not just ask yourself that.
by 12
About the time you start getting your period.
My daughter is 8 years old...she is already developing breasts and has underarm hair and is starting to get pubic hair. I was concerned and took her to the doctor after they did all kinds of tests on her they said they saw nothing wrong that she was developing early and it was more than likely hereditary. I found out later on that on my husband's mothers side all the girls develope early. So, to answer your question, It just depends on their genes as to when they will develope.
Girls will start growing hair in those places at the onset of puberty. Puberty occurs at various ages though, depending on the individual. Most girls start between the ages of 9 and 16, these days it seems girls are getting their periods at younger ages than in the past though, so figure closer to 9-12 years old.
usually between 11-14 years old
At what age does menopause begin and what are the symptoms?
At what age does menopause begin and what are the symptoms?
I think the average age is around 50 give or take a few years...
you gain weight, hot flashes, periods stop and start again, hair growth...not pretty, some depression, thinning of the skin and hair
and it last till you are around 60-65,
50 hot n cold flashes
Can begin anywhere from mid to late 30's to mid to late 60's. It's different for every woman.
It usually begins with skipped periods or light periods. That's one symptom, but often that can happen for awhile and things go back to normal for awhile...and so on...
.
http://www.fbhc.org/patients/modules/men...
http://www.menopause.org/default.htm...
Hopefully those two sites can help you out a lot.
When does it start?
The average age of menopause is 51 years old. But there is no way to predict when you'll get it. Most women reach menopause between the ages of 45 and 55, but menopause may occur as earlier as the 30s or 40s or may not occur until a woman reaches her 60s. As a rough "rule of thumb," women tend to undergo menopause at an age similar to that of their mothers. But my mother had a hysterectomy so that doesn't help me any!
Symptoms? It varies.
Irregular periods, my friends in their 50's have hot flashes and night sweats, sometimes vaginal dryness or itching (ewww), tiredness, irritability, memory problems, and mood swings. Some women experience weight gain, wrinkles, acne, and hair on their chin, lip, chest.
I'm 48 and have the acne and some hair on my chin-neither of which I am enjoying!
Good luck!
AT what age does a woman STOP having her period?
AT what age does a woman STOP having her period?
usually some time between 45 and 60, its different for everyone. i stopped at 37 because i had female cancer surgery. that was no fun.
depends on when she started her period. if she started early, she'll most likely stop early.
the presence of ovaries (because they may be sugically removed for various reasons)
there is no definite age
its around 45 and above...
I've heard around 55
60 i think!?
At what age do ur boobs stop growing?
At what age do ur boobs stop growing?
Between ages 18-21.
They could grow due to pregnancy or gaining a lot of weight as well.
At least by 21, then they may get larger after you have babies.
16-18
At about what age does a woman...?
start to lose her desire for sex? I do know it may very, but is there an aproximation? I am just curious as to when thay may occur with me.At about what age does a woman...?
Depending on hormone levels, level of activity, and state of mind. Sex drive can be decreased by several things such as lack of energy, lack of interest, too much on the mind to stay in the mood, lack of partners, and so much more. It varies from woman to woman. It has nothing to do with age.
50 seems to be the age ive noticed women slow down a bit.
When their vagina dries up.
I think the older they get , the more they want.
Right around 60.
Well I have heard the peak is 20 something for women and the down hill around 48..But hey we can all prove that wrong ,
If there is actually an age when this happens I so don't wanna know!!
Some women have an increase in libido when they go through menopause in their 50s. So I don't think everyone does lose their desire for sex. It's probably different for everyone.
it depends on the woman and her state of mind and body.
Women start to lose their desire/interest in sex after they've had a few children. It normally comes back after the last child moves out of the house. After they go through menopause, most women are horny as all get out and want to screw as often as possible. They are usually a little dry vaginally, but lubrication makes them wonderful, enthusiastic, and thankful.
the big 50
about 45-50.You can get menopause at any age not just in your 50's.
As flat as a bord?
i so flat1 i know there isnt a magical friut but is there any thing that can makethemget bigger? As flat as a bord?
i say they are doing you a favor. when you find the love of your life, you know he loves you. not just for your boobs if they were bigger.
Well, it seems as though the only thing that can help you now is eating more to gain weight. I'm in the same exact boat as you are (I'm 15) and I really don't have anything to look at, either. So try to eat a little more but don't feel guilty because you know you'll be doing it to be a healthier-looking woman.
Saline implants
You don't say your age, and that makes a difference. If you are under 16, just wait, your body will develop. If you are over 16 the best way to see when you will stop developing is to look at your mom and other female relatives. Usually, we take after our mothers, we tend to be close to the same bra size.
its all right. its no problem at all. ur thinking too much. believe me, ur fine. dont get obsessed with it and sooner or later ur bound to have 'em. the only thing u can do, is stop thinking...
Besides going the surgical route, unfortunately not. You can try the miracle pills on the market but I do think they are all full of crap as far as growth goes.
I was a flat as a board too, but that was before I had kids. I was an 34A, but now I'm a 36B. Still kind of small. At least when you get older u don't have to worry about sagging to your stomach or having back aches because your too big. Be happy what God gave u. Trust me you'll have less problems when you get older with them being small.
As a female virgin, have any of you had a smear test?
They say you don't really need one if you've never been sexually active (I'm talking over the age of 25+), but one nurse did give me the option of having it done anyway even though she said it wasn't really relevant at this time. So wondering if any other virgin women have actaully had the test done, and if so, how did you find it?As a female virgin, have any of you had a smear test?
i had my first test as a virgin and it came back as borderlind pr-cancerous cells, thankfully they were removed but 2 yr later i had sex if i had waited i could have had cancer
Yeah. I might have when I was 18, and I did when i was 21, it was easier when I was 21 is all I can say. They do it as a precaution I guess.
It's uncomfortable but women hvae to do it regularly and it is probably the hardest the first time.
I would have one just to get things checked out. Even though you aren't sexually active other woman issues should not be ignored. I had one at 17 when i went on the pill and wasn't sexually active. Prior to my actual test my doc explained to me how it would feel and what to expect. So when i was having it done i could be more calm and relaxed knowing what was going on
I was a virgin when I had my first one, it was uncomfortable. But if you want to get on the pill, you will need one. Plus there are other health related things that may need to be checked. It could save your life. So i would say yes, have one done.
As a child have you ever wanted to have sex ?
i havent had any fellings i just wanted to no if you haveAs a child have you ever wanted to have sex ?
it depends what age your talking about
7 or 8 year olds shouldnt want to have sex right now
but if your a teen or preteen and your starting to have feelings like that, it completely normal
What is your age?
no
Fun story - when I was younger (elementary age) I really thought I invented what I later found out was sex. I knew what a penis looked like and I knew I had a hole and I figured they just went together like a hotdog in a bun. But I didn't know that it was for pleasure or that's how you had a baby, I just thought they went together. So I don't think very young kids really want to have sex, unless they see a porn or people having sex by accident, they don't really know what it is.
I didn't really understand the concept of sex as a child. So, no I never thought about it, let alone wanted it.
If children have overt sexual feelings, I would be very concerned that he/she had been molested.
Around what age do...............??
around what age do guys find out that girls get periods??Around what age do...............??
It depends on how many females are in the house. Also how the parents how talked to their son. However, boys probably don't really understand until about 14 or 15
12 or 13
Like middle school--as soon as they find out you will know since they tease the girls about it.
^-^ middle school :). but i didnt know much about them untill highschool O_o.
Wow teasing? thats completely immature -.-'. but i guess most guys are xD
the youngest is about 8 or 9 and so on 10-13
Everyone is different but most girls get them by the time they are starting high school. I got mine like right after I turned 11, but I got mine younger then a lot of people I know. Don't worry about it, you are lucky you don't have it yet. Trust me you have plenty of time to find out what it is like.
the average age a girl starts her period is 12. "However a girl can begin menstruating anytime between the ages of 8 and 16"
Area around the neck became dark as i put on weight......?
reasons and any remediesArea around the neck became dark as i put on weight......?
This is very common, it's a skin condition found on people who gain weight. It's associated with high blood sugar, but not necessarily diabetes. I can't remember the exact name of it, but I looked it up a while back. As for remedies, a bleaching cream is recommended on the sites I looked at. I use Ambi, and it seems to be working pretty good, I've also stopped eating a lot of sugar, and drinking more water.
. My brother had that and I bought him a loofah and he used it for a week and it went away. dont scrub too hard though or you will hurt your skin. be patient!!! Dont stop though or it will come back. Also you can use a toner with no alcohol and a cotton pad. it works but the loofah is the best. good luck.
Are you still considered a virgin it you break your own hymen while masturbating.?
My friend asked me this...I told her yes but I'm not sure that was 100% correct...So any advice. Are you still considered a virgin it you break your own hymen while masturbating.?
The hymen is a membrane in the vagina that can be ruptured during sports or other trauma as well as sex, if a hymen is intact then it has been a marker that the vagina has never been penetrated by a (boy). But as I pointed out even if the hymen (cherry) was no longer intact that doesn't necessarily mean it happened during sex. Girls can even use tampons without breaking her hymen. So only if the girl had a sexual experience with another person, she would no longer be a virgin. The hymen has nothing to do with it.
yes.you have to have anal, oral,or vaginal sex to no longer be a virgin.
Yes, you are still a virgin if you break your hymen during masturbation. In order to lose your virginity, you need to have a penis in your vagina.
a virgin is someone who never had sex
Are you pregnant if blood is present when you urinate and it is painful?more than two weeks after having sex?
Are you pregnant if blood is present when you urinate and it is painful?more than two weeks after having sex?
No, it means you have a bladder infection (or some other STD).
Make an appointment to see your ob/gyn immediately.
You probably have an STD. See your doctor.
STD see a doctor
You probably have a urinary tract infection, not an STI. The bleeding was caused because you have left it untreated for so long.
Go to the doctor's immediately and get some antibiotics before the infection spreads and causes permanent damage. Also try drinking some cranberry juice to help the pain a little.
2 words personal hygiene
wash before and after having sex.
have your urine screened - urinalysis
you may be harboring germs in your bladder that can ascend to your kidney and kill you
That is not a sign of pregnancy. It is a sign you should see a doctor though! It sounds like a bladder or urinary tract infection.
Blood in your urine is not a viable method to say ur preg.. not at all.. For the pregnancy you've got to do an ultra sound scaning/ blood test( against progesterone )
After having sex , there are certain sitauations where the blood is seen and there is a pain when you urinate... I guess you had sex for the 1st time or you may have had sex for the frst time with this person...
Please make sure when you have a shocking pain when you urinate and blood is visible too .. It is seems the urinary lines have been infected .. and you too have contributed more for not going to a gyno for that matter....
Friend, nobody on this earth will ever say that you have some STD..&. It is not my opinion... too..
Please I humbly ask you to go to a gyno as soon as possible.. this is an alarming issue.. before it damage the rest of the area...
May God Bless You!!!
Are womman supossed to...?
are womman supposed to shave/wax ubove their top mouth lip inbetween that and their noseAre womman supossed to...?
Wax not shave. They do if they need to.
if they find it necessary
Yes, if you have a dark hair line it is best to wax, never shave as this will cause the hair to grow back thicker and darker
When I had something done to that area years ago a friend did a wax to the area.
If you are having a lot of thick hair in this area to where it looks like a mustache pls talk to your dr to be checked for hormone imbalances to see if that's the cause for the hair issue.
Are UTI's only affiliated with having sex?
When you hear someone have a UTI why do people always think it's because of sex?Are UTI's only affiliated with having sex?
Not always. Older women and men get UTIs frequently due to not drinking enough water. Younger women get them all the time because of their shorter urethra.
It is not always associated with sexual activity, but in women it commonly is. That is why people make this association.
That is a common way of getting them although there are more. Certain drinks when consumed a lot can do it (dark colas for example), wiping the wrong way after urinating, bubble baths....there are many ways of getting them.
Are u a virgin??

Are these symptoms of yeast infection?
i know that itching and irritation, and also a curdlike discharge are symptoms, but i was wondering if bumps and roughness around the vulva, or opening and inside of the vagina are symptoms of the same infection?
also, if you dont have health insurance to go see a doctor, what can you do to treat these symptoms, a possible yeast infection? Are these symptoms of yeast infection?
That does sound like a yeast infection..
feels like an intense itching, burning sensation, localized in your vagina and vulva. this itching is not always present, but can get really bad, so bad you can hardly walk, let alone ride your bike to the pharmacy or doctor to get it treated.
looks like clumpy nasty white stuff. most medical descriptions compare the discharge to ricotta cheese, but it can range from thick and not clumpy to faintly yellow to thin and clear.
smells like bread or beer. in fact, it smells pretty much exactly like yeast, although the yeast used in brewing and baking is an entirely different species (Saccharomyces cerevisiae). no bacteria could smell like that, so it's a great diagnostic.
The bumps and roughness does not sound like a yeast infection. There are many free clinics you can go to to get treated, such as your local Health Department.
Symptoms:
burning of the vagina
burning when urinating
discomfort during or after sexual intercourse
irritation of the vagina
itching and burning of the female vulva
itching of the vagina
painful sexual intercourse
painful intercourse
vulva redness and swelling
odorless vaginal discharge (may be thick whitish-gray and cottage-cheese-like or may be watery in consistency)

Are there two types of orgasms? husband needs help...anyone?
hi, hope someone out there can help
we are a married couple who enjoy sex often. can anyone explain the diff between a genital orgasm and a gspot orgasm? i was not aware that there were two types. is there any other type? i know how each can be acheived but i mean the way it feels for a lady etc. thanksAre there two types of orgasms? husband needs help...anyone?
Ok - there are Clitoral orgasims that are very commen with manual masturbation ( you can tell when your masturbating right ) then you'll know when your having one. it feels just like a vaginal orgasm but a little more intense sometimes. Tightening and quivering and sometimes lots of moisture.
A vaginal orgasm only happens when you are being penatrated during sex it is one of the most common types or orgasm but in my opinon much less pleasureble. if you have no problem orgasiming during sex dont worry about what kind you having at least you getting one! rule of thumb if you know how to masturbate and you can get off by doing so you know the kind of orgasm you want to be going for. good luck
i have had both and could feel no diff.
the 2 types of orgasms are clitoral which is most common when the obvious is stimulated. the other is the infamous g-spot which is found in a different spot on everyone. when you and your husband find yours you will know it. you may have to find it on your own first....then it may require some creative position to acheive orgasm that way, but it can be very intense so good luck!
Are there really any pills on the market that make your boobs bigger?

Are there condoms that are known to help prevent yeast infections?
My girlfriend says that some condoms give her yeast infectionsAre there condoms that are known to help prevent yeast infections?
Get unlubricated and use a silicone based lubricant... standard lubes have glycerine in them, which is like gatorade for yeast. Some women are more sensitive than others, I've only had one girlfriend have this problem, but after much research this was a good solution.
no
The condom isn't giving her the yeast infection. Some condoms can certainly cause irritation, though. Just stick to the one you CAN use that doesn't cause irritation.
If she is getting yeast infections, she really needs to see her doctor. After all , it is an infection and if not treated properly, it won't go away.
